George Rigby never studied in art school. Instead, his enthusiasm and understanding of art came principally through his mother, Annabel Playfair, an experienced artist in her own right, based in the Cotswolds, but also through his love of music which evokes a visual palette for his art.

Growing up surrounded by equestrian culture, George is often using the movement and individual character of horses to capture their emotions in his art. 

In fact, George's work is largely based on the hybrid concept. Alongside his art, 

George is currently studying music composition at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama and is constantly exploring effective ways to combine his music and art together.
